Financing options to suit your business

Installing solar for your business is a great way to reduce overheads. But not every business will choose to pay for a solar system upfront. That’s why iGENO offers a range of finance options.

iGENO solar Smart Plan

With an iGENO solar Smart Plan, you can go solar without the upfront costs. Plus in most cases you buy the solar electricity produced during the day for a predictable low rate, instead of buying it from the grid at a higher price.

Pay upfront

To help your business plan and budget, you can pay for the system upfront and you could enjoy the benefits as soon as the system is switched on.

Finance plans

Don’t have the capital to pay for solar upfront? iGENO offers flexible payment options to help your business manage the cost of system installation.

    Detailed system design

iGENO will complete a detailed system design including layout of the solar panels, inverters and cable runs. iGENO may perform a site inspection to assess potential health and safety issues, site security, logistical considerations and verify your roof is suitable for the proposed system.

  • 4

    Grid connection application

Prior to connection of the solar system to the electricity grid, your electricity distributor requires a Network Connection Application to be submitted for approval. iGENO will prepare the relevant documentation and help you manage discussions with the distributor

    Installation

An accredited CEC installer will install your solar system and ensure it’s connected to the grid, and operating as it should.

  • 6

    Ongoing support

After installation, iGENO offers monitoring to ensure your solar system is working at its best. We’ll also be there to answer your questions to help you get the most from your investment.

iGENO solar FAQs

Unlike many of our competitors and other suppliers of electricity, gas and water, we don't ask you to tie yourself down to a contract when you take out our services. There are no strings attached, and you can switch to another alternative at any time, without any hidden fees and surprises.

Incentive for Buildings

Your Building may benefit from a range of incentives available to install and invest in a solar system.

Solar feed-in tariffs.

A feed-in tariff is the rate paid for any excess electricity your solar PV system feeds into the grid. The rate which your business could be paid varies depending on your state and your eligibility for a government feed-in tariff. You’ll be provided with the relevant feed-in tariff that applies to your business on the date your solar PV system is commissioned.

Tax breaks.

New laws allow small businesses to claim an immediate deduction for assets they have purchased or started using. If you’re a registered business with an annual turnover of less than $2 million, you may be able to claim the full cost of a solar system installation up to $20,000. Seek independent tax advice to see if you could benefit.
